Scrap Metal Recycling

AAA Recycling is primarily involved in the collection and processing of ferrous metals (iron and steel), non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, nickel-based, titanium and high-temperature alloys), paper and plastics. AAA also provides scheduled pickups for business and government entities as well as  arranged appointments for the one time situation. They PAY by the pound for ALL the above.

New Phoenix even has Roll-off box service for industrial accounts.

Curbside Recycling

Independent Environmental Services, Inc. (IESI) offers FREE subscription curbside recycling to all residents living within the Greenville city limits.

The following types of items can be recycled:

  • Plastic – codes 1 & 2
  • Glass – amber, green, clear
  • Tin and Steel cans – rinsed and clean
  • Aluminum
  • Newspaper
  • Office paper
  • Junk mail
  • Cardboard - in small amounts

There is NO monthly charge for this convenient service, just call IESI and ask for a FREE bin. Recycling bins are provided by IESI and it is not necessary to sort recycled items.

County Wide & Commercial Drop-off

It's FREE - Just follow the guidelines above and drop it off yourself!! US69 to 66W & right on Ed Rutherford. 
OK, there is a catch if you drop off. You will need to separate the cardboard and paper,  from the plastic, glass, aluminum, and tin. Hey, its FREE!

6. Organize a neighborhood tree trimming event.

7. Assist with the City of Greenville's Spring Clean-up Day.

8. Volunteer to assist with the maintenance of the City of Greenville's parks and recreation department.. 

9. Improve and maintain the landscaping at your residence or business.

10. Investigate and implement a xeriscape  program at your school, business , or residence. (KDB,2006)
